As a Sales Specialist reporting to the VP - Sales, you’ll play a meaningful role in driving new business growth by selling Nasdaq’s technology solutions to Financial Market Infrastructure firms across the UK and Continental Europe, with an initial focus on Nasdaq’s Eqlipse Trading system for digital and crypto asset trading venues. You’ll thrive in this position if you’re commercially driven, consultative, and results‑oriented, with a strong understanding of capital markets technology and emerging asset classes, and a passion for building long‑term client relationships in a fast‑paced FinTech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities across the UK and Continental Europe in close collaboration with Business Development Representatives and Marketing.
- Be responsible for the full sales cycle from opportunity creation through proposal development, contract negotiation, and signature.
- Understand client needs and coordinate with internal product, legal, and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Maintain deep product knowledge, including Nasdaq’s Eqlipse Trading system, and stay informed on competitor offerings and market trends.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including business heads and C‑level executives, to drive long‑term partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of successful experience in technology sales, preferably within capital markets, trading, or FinTech environments.
- Strong understanding of capital markets technology, including trading solutions, tokenized assets, and digital/crypto assets.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross‑functional sales processes and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with strong executive presence.
- Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for achieving sales targets.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), analytics tools, and data‑driven decision making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling technology solutions to Financial Market Infrastructure firms.
- Exposure to regulated market environments and complex contract negotiations.
- Ability to operate effectively across cultures and geographies in a European sales context.
This position will be located in London and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in‑office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
