Eye Vet is a dedicated ophthalmology referral practice with strong multi-disciplinary support from nearby Northwest Veterinary Specialists and the University of Liverpool’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital. In addition to our busy referral caseload from surrounding primary care practices, we are proud to contribute to clinical teaching and final‑year placements for University of Liverpool veterinary students, and we also provide ophthalmology services to Chester Zoo.

We are currently seeking a qualified Veterinary Ophthalmologist (postgraduate qualification essential) to join our experienced and collaborative team. You will work alongside five dedicated clinicians, a skilled team of ophthalmic RVNs, and benefit from on‑site support provided by the ECVAA‑led anaesthesia team. It’s a fantastic chance to work in a progressive, well‑supported environment where education, clinical excellence and teamwork are at the heart of what we do.

What we can offer:

  • Fantastic surgical, diagnostic and medical referral caseload.
  • As well as treating patients referred by primary‑care veterinary practices all over the Northwest of England and North Wales, we also treat a variety of animals off‑site, including Chester Zoo.
  • Great location, just off the M56 and close to Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales.

What we are looking for:

  • RCVS registration and a passion for Ophthalmology.
  • We welcome applications both from keen ophthalmologists who are currently working through a certificate, as well as existing certificate holders, advanced practitioners and diplomats!
