As a Team Leader within CDW’s Supply chain your role will be to plan, organise, direct and drive a team to deliver business objectives through motivation and engagement whilst promoting the CDW culture and values. To ensure product is processed in a safe manner ensuring standards are met. Supporting the team in the smooth and efficient running of the department. Fostering a can-do approach and continual improvement culture in all functions ensuring Health & safety standards are met.
Success measures
- All SLAs within the designated area of responsibility achieved.
- All coworkers trained and signed off in accordance with the skills matrix.
- A high % of coworkers are cross functional and skill fade is mitigated.
- All coworkers operating at or above target productivity rates.
- Coworkers not achieving rates are referred for performance management.
- All agency coworkers engagement tasks such as 121s up to date where appropriate.
What you will do
- Daily workflow management - utilising available resource effectively and raising operational blockers to SLA adherence.
- Collaboration – working closely with other leaders to move resource to meet demands and cross functional training is front of mind.
- Visibility - Be seen at all times by the team, giving a sense of support, leading from the front.
- Housekeeping - Maintain a clean and safe working environment to support operational efficiency.
- Respond effectively to any issues within designated area of responsibility.
- Process documentation updates and suitability checks.
- Ensure training and sign offs are completed and Skills matrix updated.
- Safety leadership - Complete relevant documentation to comply with H&S legislation and create and foster a safety culture.
- Log and investigate errors in a timely manner.
- Ensure radio comms are maintained.
- Conduct agency coworker 121s, Return to work interviews and performance feedback.
- Audit WMS timesheets to help identify performance concerns and high performers.
- Ensure handover KPIS are completed consistently.
- Log performance discussions including error logging and timesheet rates.
- Conduct team briefs and pass on team communications.
- Role versatility - Step up responsibilities in Supervisor absence (with support and training).
What we expect of you
- Knowledge/Awareness of warehouse operational roles.
- Experience in leading and developing a team.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding and utilising Performance KPIs.
- Ability to create and maintain basic spreadsheets and analyse data.
