Salary: £45,589 plus bonus and benefits

This is a Monday – Friday days role working 42 hours per week. The successful candidate will join an established Maintenance team within our top tier COMAH site, reporting directly to the Maintenance Lead.

A Multiskilled Maintenance Technician is required to ensure the safety and improve the reliability of manufacturing equipment and plant within the Noble Metals business. Noble Metals operates a vast range of equipment to produce various components from precious metals, including such techniques as melting, forging, rolling, wire drawing and welding.

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician, you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

The role:

  • Working safely and following strict safe working procedures.
  • Provide a skilled execution of Planned, Reactive & Corrective Mechanical and Electrical maintenance activities to ensure the ongoing reliability of equipment across the plant.
  • Deliver effective problem solving and Electrical/Mechanical fault diagnosis skills.
  • Adhering to identified work priorities to ensure that customers and stakeholders are supported in their daily operational needs.
  • Interact confidently with our CMMS, updating with detailed reports.
  • Use of Technical drawings & Operator manuals, Schematic drawings and P&ID’s.
  • Conduct Inspections, testing, adjustments, and monitoring tasks as required to maintain efficient plant and build-in equipment reliability.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Successfully completed electrical apprenticeship.
  • Must have completed a recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification. BTEC ONC/HNC, C&G Qualifications Parts 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Completed a City & Guilds Electrical Installation Parts One and Two or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition (BS7671).
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical Schematics & OEM Manuals, P&ID’s.

Desirable skills:

  • Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection & Testing BS2391 EX 01-04 trained.
  • Proven experience working with both relay logic and PLCs controlling machinery with an ability to fault find.
  • Understanding and experience of plc control, robotic and automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Hold a valid MEWP licence.
