Don’t worry if you’ve never driven a bus before, we’ll be with you every step of the way to get you started. With the help of our experienced team and our Arriva Training School, you’ll have all the tools you need for full CPC training, so you’ll be behind the wheel in no time.

We do the right thing at Arriva, that’s why you’ll be earning an hourly rate of £12.75 for 12 months which rises to £15.00 after. We’re offering full-time opportunities with potential for overtime if you’d like to take additional hours. We’re proud of our customer service and how we support our community. You’ll get to know familiar faces and build relationships with your customers, brightening their day as they pop to shops or commute to work.

Pay Rates:

  • Trainee Drivers: £12.75 per hour (first 3 weeks)
  • Post-training (Trainees):
    • Monday to Saturday: £12.75/hr (rising to £15.00 after 12 months)
    • Sunday & Bank Holidays: £18.70/hr (rising to £22.00 after 12 months)

About you:

Whilst you don’t need any experience driving a bus, we do have a few requirements. You’ll be over 18 with at least 12 months driving experience with no more than 6 points on your licence. If you’re passionate about great customer service and want to help support your local communities then we’d love to hear from you. The role will be shift-based, so you’ll need to be prepared to work early, evenings and weekends.
