- You are a full-time STEM, Economics or Finance undergraduate or masters student who is eligible for an internship role in 2026, with possibility to convert to full time after the internship.
- Have experience programming in Python, C/C++, Java and/or experience with statistical analysis, numerical programming, or machine learning in Python, Pandas, R.
- Are an ambitious entrepreneur with a track record of exceptional intellectual achievement.
- Are a self starter, comfortable taking initiative and working independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (quantitative prowess), and exceptional cognitive agility.
- Have the ability to grasp complex topics and apply knowledge across various disciplines.
- Have intellectual curiosity & ability to get deep into the details to solve tough problems.
- Are a creative collaborator who thrives in constantly evolving and changing environments.
- Have experience founding or leading a major project with end to end responsibility at university.
- Have proven leadership or team management in a university project, startup, or other entrepreneurial initiative.

What you’ll be doing
This internship program is designed to help you develop skills in either client facing roles, financial research, and/or building technical solutions. All candidates who are successful in the process will be assessed and placed into an area of expertise based on their unique skillset, for the duration of the 10 week program. We’ll work together to help you find the area where you can excel. Regardless of the area you focus on, a core understanding of capital markets and financial research is essential.
You will be expected to deliver work with a high degree of independence. You will be involved in debugging Python, deploying infrastructure changes, talking to product early-adopters, and strategic planning with the product team leads. You will be developing REST APIs, data processing pipelines, python libraries, and deploying production-quality code, as well as maintaining and monitoring production systems. You will be contributing to the provision of technical support and consultation, including exposure to resolving client issues, capturing underlying business implications of client queries and helping to feed this information into Intropic product development cycle. Analysing and improving client contact regarding queries and assistance provided. Supporting client use of research functionality. Assisting with workflow testing of bespoke solutions developed by Intropic for clients. Gaining a deeper understanding of business reasons for client product enhancement requests. Liaising between the various interested parties (Client, Account management, Engineering teams) to interpret/clarify requirements as necessary to facilitate the successful development and delivery of the bespoke projects.
You are expected to be a team player and an excellent cross-departmental communicator, with the ability to communicate to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Involved in the presentation of the vision, value proposition, and development progress to business leadership, sales, engineering and our client stakeholders.
