Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting for a Quality Compliance Auditor to join our IMS team at our Bishops Cleeve site. About the role
As the Quality Compliance Auditor, you will have a dedicated focus on the compliance and continual improvement of the IMS approvals. You will have guidance from the Head of IMS Compliance and be responsible for checking that the IMS is effectively implemented and maintained. You will also provide guidance to operational staff in relation to IMS requirements.
- Ensure that the IMS conforms to the UK IMS Policy, Objectives, Plans, Key Performance Indicators and International Standards and regulations.
- Conduct audits in line with the approved audit schedule.
- Ensure IMS processes and procedures comply with the actual working practice identified during audits, communicate and raise non-conformance as required.
- Audit planning, preparation, performing, reporting and follow up.
- Be part of or lead an audit team in line with the auditing procedure, and the relevant regulatory or standard requirements.
- Ensure the audit process is objective and impartial, avoiding any conflict of interests.
About you
- A minimum qualification will be Internal Auditor to the ISO9001/AS9100 standard.
- A practical working knowledge of other regulations and standards would be beneficial i.e. AQAP (PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA), AS9100, AS9102, Part 21G, Part 145, ISO 14001, 22301, 27001, 45001 etc.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving CAPA skills.
- Effective and accurate use of MS Office applications and ERP systems.
- Using systems such as Q-Pulse, Net-Inspect etc.
- Able to produce clear, concise, accurate written and verbal communications (in English) at all levels.
- Effective listening and negotiating skills.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to consider wider business implications when considering options and making decisions.
- Able to work in a team environment and participate in all team activities, with a willingness to share experience and skills and promote the development of team members.
- Able to work outside core hours and be flexible to react to the business priorities as required.
- Able to travel regularly (80%) within the UK.
