Carrier now has an opportunity for a Product Manager - Chillers & Heat Pumps ideally based a commutable distance to our Wimbledon office.

What will I be doing as a Product Manager?

  • Full ownership of the product range and ownership of the product roadmap.
  • Take responsibility for your product group and help support the growth of that in excess of market growth.
  • Ensure the teams receive adequate product training; monitor all training requirements to enhance performance and ensure up to date knowledge.
  • Review Chiller/Heat Pump project selections/quotes for key projects with sellers before sending to customers or placing orders with suppliers.
  • Effective management of product group/range.
  • Successful launch of new products to market with full supporting technical, sales support, pricing data and product information.
  • Prepare CPD presentations for your product groups and ensure they are certified as well as offer training on the CPDs to all our sales routes to better equip them to promote our products.
  • Attend sales meetings where required to deliver product and/or competitor updates to the teams.
  • Support the sales team with data requests, selections and hydronic solutions so we can increase our opportunity for order conversions.
  • Support the Pre-Sales application team services including quotations and training as required.
  • All training to be logged.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Detailed technical knowledge and market understanding of product portfolio.
  • Be able to demonstrate extensive technical ability on all chiller and heat pump technologies including air cooled, water cooled, absorption and centrifugal.
  • Ability to digest technical data on competitors as well as our own products and able to provide detailed analysis on performance and key USP’s.
  • Ability to manage several technical complex issues concurrently and effectively disseminate data internally and to the factories.
  • Qualification in HVAC to degree level or equal experience preferred.
  • Experience in the HVAC industry and understanding of the UK requirements.
  • Current UK driving licence.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • Self starter who is able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
