Help us get ahead of disease together with our Process Engineering (Pilot Plant) Internship, 2027.
Education required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Chemical Engineering.
Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English.
Internship period: January to June 2027.

Location: Jurong R&D Pilot Plant.
Responsibilities:
- Technical application of fundamental engineering skills in the design of process equipment.
- Scoping equipment specifications and working with vendors to obtain best in class design for value.
- Going to site, observing plant operations and implementing engineering modifications to plant.
- Commissioning of equipment with engineers and plant technicians.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant productivity and safety.
Learning objectives:
- Understanding of equipment capability: You will learn to differentiate various equipment/instruments, understand their specifications and how they are used for processes via the assigned projects.
- Understanding of Management of Change process via the Plant Modification Proposal: You will be involved in designing, executing and commissioning of modifications in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
- Process scales up understanding: Participation in batch record review & plant processing to gain hands on understanding of safety/quality aspect of introducing a process into a plant.
Qualifications:
- Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing and keen to apply engineering fundamentals in a GMP environment.
- Interest with going to manufacturing site, observing plant operations and implement engineering modifications to plant.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details.
- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross functional teams, vendors and technicians.
- Hands-on and willing to work on site to support engineering and plant activities.
