Support the continued development and improvement of all aspects of Zscaler’s privacy compliance program while assisting with commercial agreements relating to SaaS products for global customers and partners.

Role Expectations

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy, data protection, and related AI issues, addressing questions from customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide practical, business-focused guidance on data privacy, data protection, and AI-related compliance matters.
  • Review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with customers and vendors, and advise legal team members on managing privacy and AI-related issues.
  • Stay up to date with global privacy, data protection, and AI regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer with a valid license to practice in a UK or EU jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm advising on data privacy issues, including negotiating contracts and product counseling.
  • Expert knowledge of international privacy laws and regulations with experience providing guidance to global teams.
  • Experience with cybersecurity laws and incident response related to data privacy requirements.
  • CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or other related professional certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of technology platforms and data flows, including cloud and mobile devices.
  • Experience designing compliance programs, policies, and processes within the tech industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex AI frameworks and multi-jurisdictional technology transactions.
