As a Process Safety Engineer in our Power and Energy Solutions Practice, you’ll be part of a talented team designing complex new schemes to protect our clients’ assets.

Your role We are looking for a principal process safety engineer to join our Power and Energy Solutions Practice.
This position would be based in central Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh), Bristol or Stockton, with a flexible mixture of home-working and office collaboration time expected.
We also welcome applicants wishing to work part-time.
We are looking for someone versatile; you could be working on several small projects, writing bids, or overseeing juniors to deliver scope.
The role may include: Executing and steering technical delivery of projects (process safety scope) Collaborating with other disciplines on design projects Producing or providing input to proposals Providing quality technical advice to clients and internal teams Overseeing and coaching juniors (delegating tasks and checking calculations and deliverables) About you In addition to building excellent relationships within Atkins Réalis, you’ll be able to build excellent relationships with our clients, being able to provide proactive support to a team or client within a project.
You should have a high attention to detail to deliver or check quality deliverables.
We are looking for a person with prior experience in consequence modelling software for Major Accident Hazard scenarios.
Favourable qualities include but are not limited to, knowledge of supporting or conducting hazard workshops e. g.
HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID.
Proven knowledge of legislative requirement associated with major hazards, examples of which may include COMAH
