We are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator based at Peterborough in the UK on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role reports to the Sales Manager, UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Manage the short‑term Customer Demand process: collect forecasts, set up orders in SAP (ATM, Call Offs) and organise the delivery plan.
- Ensure commercial agreements adherence through service level/contract terms compliance.
- Communicate internally about changes to orders and deadlines.
- Receive orders from customers, obtain ATMs, enter the orders into the system, and maintain the pricing module in SAP.
- Liaise with customers to validate the short‑term demand plan.
- Negotiate with customers regarding lead‑times and delivery schedules to maximise plant productivity.
- Provide product status information (on order, in process, in stock, in transit) and monitor the logistics path to the customers’ filling lines.
- Maintain sales orders in the system and ensure the financial handling of deliveries stays within the specified credit limits.
- Liaise with finance on invoicing matters and ensure standing data is maintained by customer/location.
- Liaise with logistics on material supply and delivery of products.
- Arrange proactive visits to the customer to maintain good relationships and improve understanding of customer requirements.
- Implement and maintain administrative controls to support the required tasks.
- Manage the commercial interface at plant level.
- Resolve all sales invoice queries.
- Monitor slow and non‑moving finished‑goods stocks and liaise with customers and finance to dispose or exhaust them appropriately.
About you
You have a Business Administration degree in Sales/Commercial or a Supply Chain background with 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You possess comprehensive proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and a strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP). You are an effective communicator, both internally and externally, with good interpersonal and planning skills. You have excellent verbal and written English. You are a team player, highly organised, and have strong administrative skills. You are stress‑proof, customer‑oriented, can meet tight deadlines, and have a flexible approach in your dealings.
