We are seeking a Performance Analyst to join our Performance Team. This role will focus on supporting the delivery of accurate, timely performance and attribution analysis across a broad range of investment strategies. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and a desire to develop expertise in performance measurement, investment analytics, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the production and validation of portfolio performance and attribution results across asset classes
  • Analyze performance drivers and assist in communicating insights to investment, product, and client-facing teams
  • Monitor and investigate data quality and performance discrepancies, working with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with investment, operations, and technology teams on performance-related workflows
  • Assist in maintaining and improving performance reporting processes, controls, and documentation
  • Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives (e.g., SQL, Python, reporting tools)
  • Support composite and benchmark-related processes
  • Participate in ongoing enhancement of analytics, tools, and reporting infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in investment performance, analytics, or operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of investment concepts (equity, fixed income, or multi-asset)
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL and/or Python is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business, operations, and technology stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment
  • Interest in pursuing CFA or CIPM preferred

  • Intellectual curiosity about investment strategies and markets
  • Interest in automation, data platforms, and AI-driven analytics
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work across teams
  • Exposure to investment data domains such as performance measurement, benchmarks, attribution, analytics, holdings, or transactions
  • Experience validating or reconciling system outputs (e.g., calculations, reports, or data feeds) against business expectations

The base salary range for this position is: USD 90,000 - 180,000. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives, if eligible.
