(Fixed-Term) Manufacturing Associate II - Shift Position in Oxford

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Associate and digitally savvy Operator for our mRNA vaccines production unit. The role requires technical proficiency, scientific thinking, rapid learning of new mRNA technologies, meticulousness, and digital acumen.

Your key responsibilities

• Adhere to Moderna’s safety procedures and maintain housekeeping of assigned areas to ensure compliance and safety.
• Execute operations activities according to cGMP, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate closely with QA peers for timely closure of documentation related to commercial batch disposition.
• Participate in investigations (RCA) and CAPA tasks to address deviations and compliance issues.
• Utilize performance tools to meet operational KPI objectives.
• Respond to and troubleshoot routine equipment, process, and digital issues rapidly.

Additional responsibilities

• Proactively identify and report compliance or health and safety issues to supervisors.
• Keep training records and documentation up to date.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., lubrication, mechanical checks, filter changes) using hand tools.
• Provide flexibility to work off‑hours and overtime when necessary.
• Contribute to multiple projects and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross‑functional matrix environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Site‑based, full‑time position; remote work not available.
• A university degree specializing in pharmaceutical production technology or equivalent.
• Experience with filtration and chromatography, and cold chain management is a plus.
• Experience in audit / inspection preparation, understanding health authority and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers, leadership, and cross‑functional support groups.
• Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail while executing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Shift pattern

24/7 Fixed shift Pattern: 2‑2‑3 (Panama schedule) – a slow rotation cycle of 28 days in which each employee works in a 12‑hour shift on alternating days.
