As a digitally savvy Operator within our mRNA vaccines production unit, you will play a central role in executing high-impact manufacturing activities in a cutting-edge, technology-driven environment. This position blends scientific thinking, operational execution, and digital fluency to ensure the production of safe, effective vaccines at scale. You will thrive in a fast-paced setting, contributing to continuous improvement while adopting innovative tools, including emerging generative AI capabilities, to enhance operational excellence.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Practice safe work habits and strictly adhere to Moderna’s safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow gowning procedures and maintain housekeeping standards within assigned areas to ensure compliant and safe operations.
  • Execute manufacturing operations in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), standard operating procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure timely documentation review and batch disposition for commercial production.
  • Participate in incident and deviation investigations, including root cause analysis (RCA), and contribute to CAPA implementation.
  • Apply performance management tools and collaborate with team members to achieve operational KPIs.
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment, process, and digital system issues with speed and precision.
  • Proactively identify and elevate compliance or health and safety concerns to Team Leads or Supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and associated documentation.
  • Perform routine basic maintenance activities on equipment, including lubrication, mechanical checks, and filter changes using hand tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in multiple cross-functional projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work off-hours and overtime as required to meet production demands aligned with corporate and commercial objectives.
  • Operate with strong digital proficiency, contributing to innovation and process enhancements in a highly technological manufacturing setting.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):

  • 3+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications):

  • A university degree with a specialization in Pharmaceutical production technology or equivalent.
  • Experience with filtration and chromatography, and cold chain management a plus.
  • Experience in audit/inspection preparation, understanding Health authority and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers, leadership and cross-functional support groups required.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail while executing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
