Join our organisation as an Oncology Therapy Lead (OTL) for East Anglia and Essex to help drive rapid uptake of innovative medicines that improve outcomes for patients with Breast and Gynaecological cancers.
As an OTL, you’ll be the clinical voice for our organisation’s Oncology portfolio in your territory. You will build trusted partnerships with clinicians, KOLs and system stakeholders, translate customer insights into account-level strategies and drive behavioural change that gets the right patients access to the right treatments — faster. Your work will influence prescribing practice, local treatment pathways and guideline adoption across hospitals and healthcare systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer engagement and omnichannel execution with a strong focus on in-call effectiveness and behaviour change.
- Translate insights into clear customer and account strategies, with measurable objectives and tracking metrics to drive uptake.
- Build and mobilise KOL advocacy and medical education programmes to support peer-to-peer best practice and treatment adoption.
- Work across the Oncology cross-functional team to coordinate access, local protocols, formularies and “beyond the pill” solutions.
- Use organization-approved datasets and dashboards to monitor performance, iterate plans and demonstrate measurable impact.
- Maintain excellent CRM records, deliver mandatory learning, and act in line with SOPs and the ABPI code.
Who you are
- You bring a growth mindset, curiosity and an appetite to learn and adapt.
- You have proven experience in hospital-based selling and/or oncology account management (preferred).
- You understand local healthcare systems and treatment pathways.
- You can influence without authority and build long-term collaborative relationships with clinicians, pharmacists and system leaders.
- You’re data-literate: you use insight and performance metrics to execute strategy and deliver results with a customer focussed mindset.
- You are an excellent communicator, with excellent customer engagement skills and skilled at mobilising stakeholders.
What you will need
- Degree (BSc preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Oncology experience with a focus on Breast and Gynaecological cancers and experience in hospital environments.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering measurable outcomes and managing key external stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving, project planning and analytical skills.
Key behaviours we value
- Strategic thinking and customer focus: you visualise the path forward and prioritise what adds value to patients and the system.
- Accountability and drive: you set high standards, overcome obstacles and deliver results.
- Courage & candour: you communicate openly, make disciplined decisions and challenge respectfully.
- Ethics & integrity: you act with the highest professional standards and comply with codes and SOPs.
- Collaboration: you work across teams to share best practice, support culture and strengthen oncology.
What success looks like
