Within this role, you will be leading the function to provide secure, resilient, and dependable operational technologies and services that enable manufacturing capability, optimise our operations, and underpin our customer commitments. You will lead a team of five direct reports across infrastructure, applications, and cyber security to foster a collaborative and high-performing culture to identify and drive improvement opportunities in areas including obsolescence and operational efficiency. As a 24/7 production business, some out-of-hours support may be required. We’ll look to you to identify and deploy opportunities to deliver cross-functional support to remove these requirements.

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Conducting regular performance reviews, setting objectives, and providing ongoing developmental feedback to team members.
  • Managing and maintaining all infrastructure (PCs, servers, HMIs, network devices etc.) to support the industrial control systems across our sites.
  • Managing and maintaining industrial control applications across all sites, including (but not limited to) operational efficiency, quality, labelling and reporting.
  • Ensuring the safety, reliability, and availability of all OT assets, including the deployment of the latest anti-virus and software patches to comply with security standards and alignment to NIST, IEC 62443, and GDPR frameworks.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust cyber security measures to protect OT systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Developing and executing the OT strategy to oversee the deployment and integration of OT systems and technologies to optimise manufacturing processes and bolster reliability.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations through the effective use of OT solutions.
  • Leading and managing the major OT projects from conception to completion.
  • Preparing and managing OT OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring tracking, reporting and effective allocation of resources.
  • Overseeing the collection, analysis, and utilisation of data across all OT systems to inform decision-making.
  • Developing and implementing response plans for highly complex OT-related incidents, leading the team participation in crisis drills to ensure rapid and effective resolutions and minimising operational impact.

YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…

  • Able to demonstrate experience within an OT leadership role within a production/manufacturing environment, with the ability to highlight how technology can be leveraged to improve business processes in an operational environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of industrial control systems (ICS) environments, equipment, and its connectivity and communication across networks.
  • A structured problem-solver with a focus on root cause through analysis of available information.
  • Able to build and develop communities to engage and further embed standards, policies, and processes within the wider organisation.
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of cyber security best practices and how it can be applied within an OT/ICS environment to reduce risk.
  • An excellent communicator with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Commercially minded with supplier management experience.
