The predicted salary is between 23 - 23 £ per hour.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- 1 year of machine shop operations experience.
- Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
- Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.), as well as measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.).
- Basic understanding of mathematical principles (conversions to decimal system, geometry, basic math, etc.).
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC equipment.
- Operate any time and size of single spindle or multiple spindles on a variety of operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc.).
- Use all tools, jigs, figures, and gauges necessary to perform operations.
- Work with close tolerances and fine finishes.
- Perform tool offset and load parts.
- Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.
- Participate in, and support, team initiatives.
- Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
- Report problems to appropriate resources and/or Coach.
- Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
- Receive guidance from experienced employees.
- Understand and abide by the GE behaviours.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 1-3 years’ machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior education/training in machine shop operations.
- Prior experience in a self-directed teaming environment.

Physical Demands:
- Continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
- Continuously sit.

- Occasionally lift up to 20lbs and push/pull up to 22lbs.
This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
