Location: Newcastle

Hybrid Working: This role will require you to work from our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Work with client teams to design and implement modern, scalable data solutions using AWS and emerging technologies.
  • Use effective communication skills to understand and deliver client requirements.
  • Contribute to innovative engineering, design, and strategy.
  • Mentor and upskill fellow group members.
  • Participate in internal networks and special interest groups.

Qualifications

  • Hands‑on design and engineering in AWS with demonstrated experience on major projects.
  • Broad knowledge of AWS services: EC2, Storage, Security, EKS, ECS, Fargate, IAM, Cloud Networking, processing, and ML.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
  • Experience addressing Big Data challenges such as large table sizes and even data distribution.
  • Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud Security and ability to balance flexibility and security principles.
  • Experience on full life‑cycle projects.
  • Capability to work in agile or Waterfall environments, individually and in teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaborative mindset.

  • Industry relevant certifications – AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional (preferred).
