About the role: to carry out scheduled repair and maintenance of the Waitrose e-commerce vehicle fleet and outlying branch vehicles in a professional and competent manner, providing technical support to the on-site transport department and local Waitrose and John Lewis branches.

At a glance:

  • Salary: up to £55,000 depending on skills and experience, plus overtime readily available.
  • Working hours: full-time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2-week rota, plus working 1 in 2 Saturday mornings at premium overtime rate.

Carry out scheduled repair and maintenance of the on-site e-commerce light commercial fleet. Carry out repair and maintenance of outlying commercial and light commercial vehicles for John Lewis and Waitrose branches and CDHs. Ensure repairs are delivered using best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, cost-effective and with appropriate use of spare parts and consumables.

You will be aware of best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, delivering high-quality repairs in a cost-effective manner with appropriate use of spare parts and consumables.

Essential Experience/Qualifications required:

  • City and Guilds Level 1, 2 and 3 vehicle technician or equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.
  • Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.

Desirable Skills:

  • IRTEC.
  • LGV C+E driving licence.
  • EV experience.
