Purpose of the role: The Territory Manager will provide M.E.D. Surgical customers with support in the sale and distribution of Operating Room products such as Laparoscopic, Cardiac, Vascular and Uro/Gynae devices to Clinicians in the East Midlands of England. The territory will cover regions including (but not limited to): Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales role: presenting, demonstrating and developing new business, working on own initiative to identify opportunities and convert them to sales.
  • Provide clinical support to customers in the area of Laparoscopic/Cardiovascular/Thoracic & Uro/Gynae instrumentation and consumable products.
  • Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships.
  • Achievement of sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Assist customers with clinical, technical and commercial enquiries.
  • Business planning and implementation throughout area of responsibility – development of new business opportunities and determination of new client and market potential.
  • Systematic collection, presentation and interpretation of market and competitor information.
  • Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and suggest ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace.
  • Implementation of new product launches and other corporate activities within area of responsibility.
  • Attendance at relevant conferences and meetings.
  • Employees are responsible for continuous professional and personal self‑development.

Role Requirements

  • Surgical salesperson with 3+ years’ medical sales experience.
  • Experience selling into operating theatres with an advantage if you have existing relationships with Gynaecology and Urology specialities.
  • High reliance on drive and planning and excellent organisational and account management skills.
  • Willing to travel within the UK.
  • Full training provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full, clean driving licence (company car provided).
  • Clinical or medical device sales background is essential.
