Junior Sous Chef Sister Moon is a vibrant Southeast Asian restaurant by Sam Grainger, opening 14 floors up within Treehouse Manchester. We are looking for a passionate, ambitious Junior Sous Chef to work closely with Sam Grainger to create and deliver vibrant Southeast Asian plates in a unique setting. Leading by example, your enthusiasm for beautiful ingredients and excellent service will inspire and motivate your team to elevate their standards.
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen, with specific experience in delivering high quality food
- At least 1 year experience as a Junior Sous Chef
- Preferred experience and keen interest in Asian concept food
- A commitment to quality and the ability to train a team to deliver exactly the same quality in your absence
- A passion for learning and progression for yourself and your team
- Great knife skills and professional kitchen demeanor – a leader by example
- An eye for detail
- The ability to remain clear, calm and organised in a busy environment
- An excellent communicator, both verbal and written
- Confident in kitchen administration, including management of food and labour costs, Health and Safety and rotas
- A proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance
