As a Commercial Business Partner, you will act as the financial co-pilot to our Sales and Commercial leadership teams. You won’t just report the numbers; you will influence them. Your focus will be on driving customer profitability, building the financial architecture for our 5-year strategy, and ensuring the Board has a crystal-clear view of our commercial performance.

How you’ll make an impact
- Consultative Solution Design - Partner with Sales and Relationship teams during the customer journey to understand business requirements and design tailored WEX payment solutions that unlock commercial value.
- Technical Advisory - Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer stakeholders across development, finance, and operational teams, translating complex requirements into practical and scalable solutions.
- Technical Delivery & Configuration - Build and configure customer solutions with strong attention to detail, ensuring implementations are delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Integration & Troubleshooting - Support customer integration activity across APIs, web services, and virtual card platforms. Diagnose technical issues, troubleshoot integration challenges, and ensure seamless connectivity with customer systems.
- Project Leadership - Own and manage end-to-end technical implementation projects, coordinating internal and external stakeholders while managing timelines, risks, scope changes, and delivery milestones.
- Product Demonstrations & Customer Enablement - Deliver engaging technical demonstrations and support customer education around system functionality, reconciliation processes, and ongoing platform maintenance.
- Voice of the Customer - Provide valuable customer feedback and technical insight to internal Product and Engineering teams, helping shape future enhancements and product innovation.
- Board-Level Updates - Synthesize complex data into high-impact quarterly board decks. You will tell the “story” behind the numbers, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- KPI Management - Define and track leading indicators of commercial success (e.g., Customer Acquisition Cost, Lifetime Value, Churn Impact).
Experience you’ll bring
- Education: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or MBA with a strong quantitative background.
- Technical Prowess: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills are non-negotiable (VBA, Power Query, or SQL is a significant plus).
- Commercial Track Record: Proven experience in a commercial finance or FP&A role, ideally within a fast-paced B2B, SaaS, or FMCG environment.
- The “Challenger” Mindset: You are comfortable pushing back on Sales Directors and challenging assumptions with data-backed evidence.
- Clarity of Communication: You can explain results to a non-financial audience without losing them in the weeds.
- Strategic Vision: You look beyond the current quarter to understand how today’s deals impact the business in Year 5.
