About The Role

Our Corporate Finance team focuses on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional tests faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Typical Restructuring team assignments include lead financial restructuring advisory; financial, operational, and commercial due diligence; business reviews; cash and working capital management; valuation; contingency planning and insolvency. Within that context, we are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Insolvency Cashier / Team Assistant to join our talented and growing team in Manchester/Leeds.

What You’ll Do

  • Working as part of a national team, assist with the delivery of our insolvency engagements, principally administrations and liquidations, including:
  • Cashiering: Process receipts, payments, transfers, dividends and journal entries using IPS Cloud. Open and close insolvency bank accounts. Ensure banking mandates and servicing contacts are up‑to‑date. Perform bank reconciliations in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Manage the investment of funds. Support the team with day‑to‑day IPS Cloud queries and oversee the transaction workflow. Maintain organised cashiering files and ensure strong audit trails. Provide accounting information to team members and other internal teams for the completion of tax returns, case financial reporting and other statutory obligations.
  • Team Assistant: Produce draft standard letters from IPS Cloud. Maintain bond records and submit monthly returns. Support the insolvency team with systems set‑up, management and closure for insolvency appointments, including uploading documents to websites. The role will also involve driving and supporting the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and supporting in the relevant training of new joiners to the Firm.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience in a similar cashier or accounting role, preferably within insolvency.
  • Knowledge of insolvency procedures, regulations and IPS Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and numerical skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and problem‑solving attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous and relevant experience in the UK Insolvency Market.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPI qualification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent).
