OVERVIEW: THE·TEAM is seeking a dynamic Manager to lead within the Brands & Properties client team, specifically within Strategy & Consulting. In this role, you will play a key part in driving client success by overseeing strategic initiatives, managing partnerships, and ensuring seamless execution across projects. You will guide and support account team members, contribute to high‑impact client reports and presentations, and maintain strong relationships through exceptional client service. Acting as the voice of the client within the organization, you will champion their goals, uphold quality standards, and help deliver innovative marketing solutions that advance business objectives. This Manager role is a global role, dedicated to a multinational financial services client. You will work across a portfolio of existing international sports partnerships – specifically working on the delivery of a global partnership with the National Football League (NFL).
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Assists in the day‑to‑day management of vertical under the supervision of the Associate Director, Senior Manager and other team members.
- Develop strategic overviews of key deal terms, asset valuations, and strategic considerations to inform negotiation strategy and decision‑making.
- Interpret data and insights to develop informed client perspective and strategic recommendations.
- Identify and articulate key partnership opportunities, value drivers, and strategic alignments for both existing and prospective partners.
- Lead and facilitate strategic brainstorming sessions to develop innovative activation campaigns that drive measurable impact.
- Deliver comprehensive project recaps that include actionable insights, performance analysis, and recommendations for optimization.
- Oversee vertical‑level reporting, including weekly performance trends, competitive analysis, and high‑level insights for leadership.
- Manage the full creative approval process for brand sponsorship programs, ensuring all national and local partner assets adhere to brand standards.
- Maintain and govern a comprehensive brand guidelines database to ensure consistency and compliance across all initiatives.
- Drive alignment across teams through participation in weekly brand strategy meetings and cross‑functional reviews.
- Lead property planning sessions to ensure efficient creative development, accurate review cycles, and timely approvals.
- Serve as an internal subject‑matter expert on sponsorship best practices, compliance standards, and partnership guidelines across the organization.
- Oversee execution of global brand partnerships, including property and talent integrations around key annual events.
- Maintain deep knowledge of client products and services to deliver compelling presentations and partnership proposals.
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with clients, partners, and agencies to ensure ongoing satisfaction and long‑term business growth.
- Partner with strategy and measurement leads to deliver data‑driven insights, research, and performance reporting.
- Manage specialized projects and vendor relationships to support seamless execution of client programs and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities, supporting new pitches, and driving innovation within existing client work.
- Attend international events where the given partnership(s) are being activated and be THE·TEAM representative and key contributor on site, ensuring smooth delivery of the partnership.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (nice to have)
- 3‑5 years of work experience is ideal – sports experience is preferred
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry, with a working knowledge of what’s happening across culture today and into tomorrow.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly with PowerPoint and Excel.
- The ability to multi‑task and self‑manage to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Must be flexible and comfortable to assume multiple roles as needed by the team.
- Efficient communicator, with internal as well as client stakeholders, who is able to drive decisions.
- Carries out responsibilities with minimal direction and asks questions when guidance is needed.
- Possess an interest in the role of technology, including digital and social media platforms, in today’s consumer sports and entertainment experience.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to contribute to the wider team and support the career development of others.
- Ability to think creatively in a team environment.
- Must be flexible and react calmly under stressful circumstances; stay poised and professional when working with well‑known talent.
- Ability to travel for partner programs or activations as required.
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is desirable however not essential.
