Role Purpose

To provide high-quality financial planning and wealth management advice to clients, whilst supervising and supporting advisers within the team. The role will contribute to maintaining strong regulatory standards, high-quality client outcomes and consistent adherence to firm-wide processes under the overall leadership of the Head of Wealth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Advisory
    • Deliver holistic financial planning advice across investments, pensions, protection and tax-efficient strategies
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
    • Conduct regular client reviews and ensure advice remains suitable and compliant
    • Identify opportunities to grow client portfolios and introduce additional services
  • Compliance & Risk
    • Ensure adherence to FCA regulations and internal compliance standards
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
    • Support the firm’s risk management framework through effective supervision and oversight
  • Business Development
    • Contribute to the growth of the business through referrals, new client acquisition and cross collaboration opportunities across the wider business
    • Develop professional introducer relationships
    • Participate in networking events
  • Supervisory
    • Supervise and support a defined group of wealth advisers
    • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and mentoring to defined advisers within the team
    • Assist in maintaining quality of advice standards within the supervised
    • Support monitoring of compliance standards, file quality and adherence to internal processes
    • Contribute to training and development initiatives (where appropriate)
    • Escalate material risks, issues or performance concerns to Antony Cousins as Head of Wealth

Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Wealth Adviser
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial planning products and UK regulations
  • Experience in supervising, mentoring or supporting advisers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong compliance awareness
  • Ability to balance day-to-day role with supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (minimum requirement)
  • Chartered Financial Planner status (or working towards) – desirable
  • Appropriate Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) in place
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Additional specialist qualifications (e.g. pension transfers) – desirable
