Business Analyst Team: Provides expertise and insight across Change the Bank programmes. This Centre of Excellence ensures consistent delivery and alignment with business priorities. The team supports Change initiatives across MUFG Securities International and MUFG Bank EMEA across the bank’s change portfolios including Risk, Finance, Front Office, Operations, Compliance and much more. Business Analysts are leading subject matter experts and trusted business partners in technology change, continuously driving change and excellence through Business Analysis. The team acts as a bridge between our business and technology.
The Business Analyst Team consists of 4 pillars:

- Cyber Risk
- Front Office & Risk
- Finance & Data

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Specifically, you have accountability for the following named departments, this includes: (Technology / Technology Innovation Management/ Business Analyst Team)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company’s and MUFG Securities EMEA plc/Technology/Technology Innovation Management.
- As the Front Office & Risk BA Team lead you will be responsible for stakeholder management across Risk and Front Office for ensuring delivery success across the Change portfolio.
- Act as a close partner to lead the Risk portfolio with Change and business leads, actively challenging stakeholders, securing optimal resourcing through forward planning.
- Ensure leadership of the Risk team, managing both consultants and permanent members of staff.
- Management of hiring appropriate resources, contract renewals and resource governance.
- Provide MI/ KPIs for your BA pillar.
- Supporting both Project Managers and business partners through SME and problem skills.
- Proactively engage with the CHG project portfolio manager to ensure that Risk initiatives are resourced with staff having the appropriate skillsets.
- Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge on Risk processes and systems to team members and the Technology department.
- Ability to own problem solving for the team and resolve complex issues with resources and Senior stakeholders independently.
- Providing subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives, as required.
- Ownership of Risks, Issues and Dependencies across resources and programme of work for Risk.
- Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents.
- Covering all aspects of Business Analyst engagement throughout the Project Development lifecycle.
People: You will manage the following matters, appropriate for above departments, including:
- Building a team of high-quality professionals that will achieve the objectives of the broader MUFG Group.
- Ensuring that all staff in your remit are fully trained and understand what is required of them.
- Handling appropriately any grievance or disciplinary issues.
Relationship with other functions and stakeholders: Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders, across the region and globally.
Performance and Duties: The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity’s performance framework and process.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the Risk domain.
- A strong delivery track record and ownership of leading the Risk initiatives.
- Experience of managing a team of technology professionals within a top tier bank or consultancy.
- Experience of successfully delivering large scale projects.
- Confidence and gravitas required to interact with senior managers within the bank.
- Business analysis experience working for a top tier bank or consultancy.
- Excellent product knowledge across Bonds, Derivatives, Credit, Securities Financing, FX and Loans and Deposits.
- Strong knowledge of FO booking systems and how they interface with Risk & Finance platforms.
- Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal.
