Job Purpose
Support the Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations in the day-to-day smooth running of the Treaty Reinsurance operations. Provide innovation & ideas to enhance the underwriting process whilst liaising closely with Corporate Teams (Innovation, I.T, BI, Operational Change) to ensure change is implemented smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations in the day to day running and development of the Treaty Reinsurance Team’s reporting & underwriting systems (Corporate & Internal) alongside various London Market teams.
- Manage overdue premium collections working closely with Credit Control / Finance.
- Manage the day to day running of Aggregate Exposures ensuring Corporate 1-250 Authorities are adhered to working closely with the Exposure Management Team when required.
- Support the Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations with Large Loss reporting.
- Support in administration of reinsurance placements.
- Support Underwriters to ensure LOB Bordereau’s are up to date and complete, liaising with the Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations when required.
- Liaise with I.T, BI, Innovation & London Market Operational Change Teams to ensure all corporate enhancements are communicated and implemented smoothly and any improvements made by the Treaty Reinsurance Team adhere to corporate measures / standards.
- Be the main point of contact for any PEGA, SBS, DQ-Pro updates & changes ensuring all information is relayed back to the team in a clear and concise way.
- Keep up to date regarding Artificial Intelligence and how it can be used within the Reinsurance Industry.
- Provide general administrative support to the Treaty Underwriters, including: Producing renewal reports and any other ad-hoc reports using ERS/SBS.
- Assist with ad-hoc Underwriting projects / Team projects.
- Assist with ad-hoc PEGA Tasks.

- Experience working in an underwriting operations role.
- High level IT / BI skill set & proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (including SQL VBA).
- Strong numerical skills.
- Very focussed with strong organisational skills.
- Team player with excellent relationship management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- A calm individual with excellent communication skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of AI capabilities and their application in underwriting environments.
- Pega / ERS knowledge.
- Knowledge of reinsurance contract wordings.
