We are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join the team who would be responsible for the problem solving and conversion of business requirements into a reliable set of technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders at various levels of seniority to gather business needs, pain points and goals, challenging where needed to get to the right assumptions and objectives for success.
- Facilitate and/or support sessions to analyze, define and prioritize gaps in understanding of requirements, agreeing outcomes to ensure robust requirements capture.
- Use of appropriate techniques such as use cases, flows, diagrams and models to accurately capture requirements for sign off by stakeholders ready for the technical delivery teams to solution and deliver against.
- Produce data mappings/specifications where required to ensure requirements are met and data processing is accurate.
- Support creation of User Stories, Spikes, Tasks and other artifacts as required to facilitate the development process ensuring the quality of these is consistent with the needs of the delivery team.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Assess new requirements and work requests working with the team to determine feasibility, approach and work effort to support prioritization activities.
- Leading problem investigations based on challenges and issues raised by stakeholders to understand the best way to resolve, involving relevant team members as required.
- Owning the business process knowledge across systems and maintaining relevant supporting materials.
- Perform duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a Business discipline or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience within e-commerce, point of sale, marketing and related platforms within a Retail business.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, functional configuration, testing and support on small to medium efforts/projects.
- Experience working independently or as part of a team of internal and external partners to agree and produce project deliverables.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, priority setting, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key business stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams, effectively communicating across multiple levels of the organization, including presenting to business and IT teams.
- Understanding of shifting priorities and deadlines; demonstrated ability to manage change and complete deliverables within assigned timeline.
