This senior role focuses on strengthening the quality engineering foundation for our SDK by developing robust automation, scalable CI/CD systems, and effective test strategies. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners to enhance test coverage, improve workflows, and ensure reliable delivery across multiple platforms. The role requires strong technical depth, collaborative working, and the ability to drive meaningful impact quickly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support build, test, and release workflows.
- Developing automation and tooling in Python to streamline test orchestration and system validation.
- Creating and running automated tests across unit, integration, and system layers.
- Debugging and diagnosing issues across build, test, and deployment environments.
- Supporting Linux and Windows development environments and contributing to cross‑platform scripting.
- Applying modern test frameworks and quality metrics to improve test strategy and reporting.
- Collaborating closely with multiple SDK teams to align on shared initiatives.
- Participating in rotational assignments to deepen domain expertise and broaden cross‑project knowledge.
- Coordinating with teams across London, Bristol, and Dublin, including occasional travel as needed.
- Mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and influencing quality engineering approaches.
What we are looking for:
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Groovy or equivalent).
- Strong Python 3 skills for automation, tooling, and test orchestration.
- Experience developing and executing automated tests at multiple levels.
- Fluency with Linux and Windows development environments.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as python, bash, or PowerShell.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across complex build and test systems.
- Familiarity with test frameworks such as pytest, GTest, or similar.
- Understanding of software quality metrics, reporting, and test strategy.
- Experience or awareness in one or more additional areas: C/C++, CMake, C#, Rust, .NET, Docker, Kubernetes, VM orchestration, graphics APIs, AIML/MLOps, or desktop app testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams and represent quality engineering perspectives.
