Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an EMEA Breaker Lead who will lead the strategic development, governance, and growth of the Topps Breaker Program across the EMEA region, while directly owning and managing key UK breaker relationships. This role is not a transactional sales function; it is a strategic relationship leadership position responsible for defining the direction, structure, and performance framework of the breaker ecosystem. The successful candidate will build long‑term partnerships with breakers, hobby stores, and streaming partners, ensuring alignment with Topps’ brand positioning, commercial objectives, and Go‑To‑Market strategy. The role will report into our EMEA regional hobby lead and act as the regional authority on breaker partnerships, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders including Go‑To‑Market, Brand, and Fanatics Live to create a cohesive, scalable, and commercially impactful program across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- EMEA Breaker Program Leadership
- Define and implement the strategic vision and operating framework for the EMEA Breaker Program.
- Establish clear performance standards, partnership tiers, activation models, and governance processes.
- Develop and track key performance metrics for breaker and streaming partnerships, identifying growth levers and areas for optimization.
- Build scalable processes for onboarding, account reviews, allocation management, and performance tracking across multiple markets.
- UK Breaker & Key Account Ownership
- Directly manage and develop relationships with leading UK breakers and strategic partners.
- Act as a senior relationship owner, driving long‑term alignment rather than short‑term sales transactions.
- Identify and support emerging breaker talent and high‑potential partners.
- Lead structured business reviews and strategic planning sessions with key accounts.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Partner with Go‑To‑Market teams to align release strategies with breaker activation plans.
- Collaborate with Operations, Brand, and Finance to ensure allocation, delivery, and compliance processes are robust and scalable.
- Act as the key EMEA liaison with Fanatics Live, aligning commercial priorities and shared customer strategies.
- Contribute to wider strategic initiatives that enhance direct‑to‑breaker and card store engagement.
- Program Activation & Brand Representation
- Define and implement activation plans to elevate the breaker category across EMEA.
- Oversee participation and representation at key trading card shows and industry events.
- Ensure strong, consistent brand representation through breaker partnerships.
- Engage with local influencers, flagship hobby stores, and community leaders to strengthen ecosystem credibility.
- Performance & Reporting
- Analyse streaming and partner performance data to inform strategic decisions.
- Collate and present structured business reports to senior stakeholders.
- Track performance against agreed KPIs and regional objectives.
- Provide market insight and feedback loops to inform product, pricing, and distribution strategy.
Skills & Experience
- 7+ years’ experience in relationship management, commercial strategy, or ecosystem development with a preference for commercial roles, within consumer products, retail, sports, or entertainment.
- Experience managing multi‑market or regional programs (EMEA exposure preferred).
- Strong understanding of the trading card, hobby, or live commerce ecosystem is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to build and scale structured partnership programs.
- Strong strategic thinking capability with the ability to translate vision into execution.
- High level of commercial acumen without reliance on transactional sales approaches.
- Experience working cross‑functionally across operations, finance, brand, and commercial teams.
- Confident presenter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in dynamic, high‑growth environments.
- Passion for sports and/or entertainment with strong awareness of the commercial landscape.
- Strong data analysis skills with unclean data.
