Your expertise with Solace messaging bus and performance monitoring tools like Netscout nPoint, Corvil, and cPacket will help guarantee flawless data flow across trading environments. What You’ll Be Doing
- Performing installations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations of a variety of products aligned to globally consistent methodologies with moderate guidance.
- Installing and maintaining networking equipment using automation tools.
- Executing the development and implementation of solutions to appropriate standards with moderate guidance.
- Supporting initiatives for process and service improvements within the team.
- Supporting the maintenance of the integrated solution provided to clients with moderate guidance.
- Supporting members of the team to deliver on strategic priorities, with a working knowledge of basic concepts and procedures.
- Handling client queries related to professional services post‑implementation with moderate guidance.
- Supporting the technology lifecycle through the design, build and maintenance of systems, software and applications to ensure the highest quality outcomes across the domains.
- Working well as part of a dedicated project team – providing valuable input and considering business impact of decisions.
- Working well with network architects bringing designs to reality.
- Translating business requirements into technical requirements and infrastructure and network capacity needs by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analysis.
- Ensuring relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards.
- Scheduling and coordinating capacity/network upgrades, liaising with other areas of the business as needed to ensure service level objectives are met.
- Managing upgrades and coordinating internal and third parties where required.
- Creating accurate documentation and monitoring system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities.
- Overseeing design work in the network domain and contributing to creating solutions.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
- Demonstrable experience in network operations and project delivery with ideally Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto.
- Strong network routing and switching skills including LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP and OSPF.
- Good knowledge of multicast including IGMP, RP and PIM.
- Knowledge of low latency and associated technologies as deployed in the financial sector.
- Excellent knowledge of network packet analysing and packet capture tools.
- Good knowledge and experience with Data Centre Networking including SDN, Cisco ACI, VxLAN, AVD, Fortimanager.
- Experience in Cloud and good understanding of network security, including best practices.
- Understanding of load balancing technologies, TCP/IP, Multicast, and internet environments.
- Good knowledge of required Service Management process, ideally ITIL knowledgeable (Service Now).
- Good scripting and automation experience (Python & Ansible).
