Who We Are
Modulr is the payments automation platform that streamlines money movement with accuracy, control and reliability – built to scale. We process more than 200m transactions and over £180bn in payment value on an annualised basis, and we’re trusted by over 6,000 businesses from fast-growing SMEs to global enterprises. We automate how money moves into and out of a business – payroll, supplier payments, spend management and payment collection – through a single platform, connected to the accounting and payroll systems finance teams already use and underpinned by principal memberships of Visa and Mastercard and direct access to central bank infrastructure. As a regulated payments provider with over a decade of experience, we’re the platform finance teams trust to run mission-critical operations. Modulr is backed by PayPal, FIS, General Atlantic, Blenheim Chalcot, Frog Capital and Highland Europe, with over 400 employees across London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Mumbai.
What You’ll Do
- Positioning & Narrative: Define sharp, differentiated positioning for Modulr’s Travel and Lending solutions – grounded in deep customer insight, competitive understanding and a clear point of view on where we win. Translate a technically rich payments platform into clear, compelling messaging that resonates with finance, operations and commercial buyers. Set a high bar for narrative consistency and storytelling craft across every vertical touchpoint.
- Vertical Go-to-Market: Lead end-to-end GTM strategy and execution for Travel and Lending. Build a scalable model for how Modulr enters, expands and doubles down in industry verticals. Partner with Product on roadmap prioritisation, shaping what gets built and how it reaches the market.
- Sales Enablement & Revenue Impact: Arm the commercial team with assets that really move deals – pitches, sales decks, one-pagers, demo narratives, competitive battlecards and win stories. Support the team on driving measurable improvements in pipeline quality, win rates and deal velocity in your verticals. Work closely with Sales leaders to translate customer insights into messaging and enablement that reflects how buyers really make decisions.
- Market & Customer Intelligence: Build a deep understanding of each vertical – buyer personas, buyer journeys, regulatory context, competitive landscape and unmet needs. Synthesise customer conversations, win/loss and usage data into actionable insights that shape product, marketing and sales decisions. Become the person leaders across Modulr turn to when they need a clear read on a vertical.
- Launches & Campaigns: Own launch plans for new vertical propositions and product updates – from positioning to activation across web, events, press and demand generation. Partner with Brand, Content and Demand Generation to turn vertical narratives into campaigns that build category authority and pipeline. Drive the quality and consistency of vertical storytelling across the website and key growth surfaces.
What you’ll need
- Experience: 6+ years in product marketing or product strategy in B2B SaaS, fintech or payments – with a strong track record of marketing to mid-market and enterprise buyers. Vertical or industry-led GTM experience is a significant plus; payments or fintech experience is preferred but not required for the right generalist.
- Strategic thinking: You form sharp points of view, work from first principles, and can turn complex, ambiguous inputs into a clear strategic direction.
- Storytelling & craft: An exceptional communicator who can make a technically rich product feel simple, differentiated and genuinely compelling – to finance leaders, operators and commercial teams alike.
- Commercial orientation: You think in terms of pipeline, win rates and revenue – not just launches and assets. You partner naturally with Sales and are energised by driving commercial outcomes.
- Technical fluency: Comfortable engaging credibly with Product and Engineering on how the platform actually works, and confident translating that into buyer value.
- Influence & ownership: You lead cross-functionally without needing authority, push work forward through ambiguity, and elevate the quality of everyone around you.
- High expectations: You hold a high bar on messaging precision, visual presentation and the quality of what goes out the door. You use data to make decisions, measure impact and iterate quickly.
What We Offer You
- Share Options: We offer a Company Share Option Plan (CSOP), giving you the opportunity to benefit from any increase in share value in the event of a sale, merger, or flotation.

- Flexible benefits: £1000 to spend on benefits to suit you, including private medical insurance, gym membership, dental etc.
