The Role
We are looking for a commercially minded Pricing professional to join our Finance team, focused on developing innovative pricing propositions and delivering robust financial modelling to support sound pricing decisions and negotiations. You will play a key role in sharing pricing insights across the firm, proactively disseminating information and supporting partners with expert guidance. Additionally, you will help build pricing capability by embedding best practice through training and on‑the‑ground support. Working collaboratively across the global Finance network, you will contribute to data‑led decision‑making and the firm’s overall financial performance.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative pricing propositions that enhance the ability of practice groups to win profitable work
- Undertake complex financial analysis and scenario modelling to shape appropriate fee arrangements, particularly for global fee deals
- Support Partners and Client Relationship teams in pricing negotiations, providing clear, data‑led insights and recommendations
- Monitor the lifecycle of client fee arrangements, proactively managing renewals and new deals with a structured and commercial approach
- Engage and manage stakeholders to gather relevant information, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of pricing agreements within financial systems
- Produce insightful reporting and visualisations (e.g., via Tableau), identifying pricing trends and sharing best practice across the global pricing network
- Provide both ad hoc and planned pricing support to fee earners, including delivering training, demonstrating pricing tools, and supporting live matters
- Contribute to governance, systems and processes by maintaining pricing databases, supporting global best practice, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimise matter profitability
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in pricing, including fee analysis and supporting negotiations within a professional services environment, ideally within the legal sector
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a range of internal stakeholders to develop robust and commercially sound pricing models
- Strong analytical capability, with experience managing pricing data and conducting complex financial analysis to support best practice in pricing discipline
- Commercially astute, with a track record of influencing decision‑making to drive sustainable profitability
- Highly proficient in Excel, with a proactive, self‑motivated approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
