This Senior Manager role will report to the LCH Business Controls Officer and focuses on Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management for the entity as a whole. The role champions high-quality risk management practices and ensures compliance with LSEG and LCH Ltd risk appetite across the six business services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Crisis Management & Incident Coordination
    • Lead the coordination and administration of Crisis Management Team (CMT) activities including documentation, communications, meeting logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Lead the invocation and operational management of Bronze CMTs during incidents, ensuring communication protocols, escalation pathways, and response procedures are followed effectively.
  • Scenario Exercises & Industry Engagement
    • Support the delivery of annual Group‑led Important Business Service (IBS) scenario exercises, ensuring strong participation and effective analysis of outcomes.
    • Lead planning and coordinating external industry exercises, engaging relevant internal stakeholders and capturing lessons learned to strengthen organisational resilience.
  • BCM Documentation & Standards Compliance
    • Maintain central BCM documentation, Teams channels, and evidence repositories, ensuring information is accurate, organised, and accessible.
    • Analyse recovery strategy testing results and work with Business Continuity Coordinators to track completion, highlight gaps, and escalate required remediation to appropriate stakeholders.
    • Coordinate periodic testing across Services and Functions (e.g., EMIR switch testing, WAR site testing), ensuring schedules, outcomes, and follow‑ups are well managed.
    • Ensure alignment with Group Crisis Management and BCM standards and support ongoing compliance with policy and regulatory expectations.
    • Coordinate updates to BCM documentation – including BIAs, BCPs, and recovery strategy details – across Services and Functions within LCH Ltd to ensure consistency and adherence to policy requirements.
  • Operational Support & Coordination
    • Support day‑to‑day BCM activities, including tracking actions, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely status updates.
    • Engage regularly with Business Continuity Coordinators to build understanding of BCM requirements and support effective delivery of obligations.
    • Seek opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the BCO function.
    • Apply expert understanding of legislation, regulatory and compliance requirements specific to LCH Ltd, and external best practices to develop and implement recommendations to enhance risk monitoring and reporting.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Resilience, or Operational Risk (financial services experience ideal).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Confident communicator, able to produce clear documentation and presentations.
  • Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and using sound judgement.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Good problem‑solving ability with a proactive, can‑do approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident using Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Aware of regulatory expectations.
