Working with cross‑functional and regional teams, you implement a portfolio strategy that is aligned with the brand vision to drive sustainable growth. You support profit and loss management and future business development plans and objectives including new product development and platform opportunities.

How you will contribute:

  • Support the brand portfolio strategy and priorities to enable consumer‑centric brand portfolio growth.
  • Develop annual plans, set objectives and allocate resources.
  • Offer recommendations for integrated commercial plans, develop and execute marketing plans that deliver on revenue and profit forecasts, and share objectives.
  • Based on your deep consumer insights and brand positioning, develop and implement integrated marketing communications and 360‑degree campaigns.

More about this role:

The Senior Brand Activation Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of trade marketing initiatives designed to drive product visibility, sales, and market share within assigned markets. This role manages trade marketing budgets, develops market‑specific assets, owns the picture of success, and serves as the primary marketing liaison with distributors, ensuring effective in‑market execution and strong collaboration with the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cascading promo/place/price/portfolio strategy implementation to the market.
  • Impact on development of distribution/channel/customer distribution/coverage plans, MSL forming, execution of shelf space, category management activities.
  • Monitor & propose action plans to deliver price/promo competitiveness & PPA launch.
  • Identify next‑gen opportunities for portfolio upgrade/align with Central team.

Execution & Performance:

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of annual trade marketing execution plans and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including displays, outlet penetration, and recommended stock list (RSL), on a monthly basis.
  • Lead for monthly data analysis and market share tracking for cross‑functional, multi‑market CLIF team.

Market Launch Management:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive market launch toolkits, including Point‑of‑Sale (POS) materials and “picture of success” guidelines, to ensure effective new product introductions.

Budget Management:

  • Manage and allocate trade marketing budgets per market, working directly with distributors, with a primary focus on Below‑the‑Line (BTL) activities and customer marketing initiatives.
  • Propose alternative plans or adjustments to the CLIF MEU marketing director for alignment.
  • Input into annual planning process to ensure sufficiency and efficiency of customer marketing plans.

Asset Creation & Adaptation:

  • Steward of brand BTL execution.
  • Lead the creation and adaptation of all finished trade marketing assets (e.g., display towers, trade flyers) for each market, ensuring they align with key visual (KV) guidelines and brand standards/guardrails.

Distributor Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary day‑to‑day marketing contact for distributors, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring effective communication.
  • Improve efficiency and sufficiency of BTL programs in critical markets.

Customer engagement:

  • Adapt and tailor category stories and brand narratives for specific customer and market presentations, ensuring relevance and impact.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a key project team member for various marketing and commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide accurate forecast inputs and track performance against established scorecards.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in trade marketing, ideally within relevant industry, e.g., FMCG, CPG. Snack bar/functional nutrition experience highly favourable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive in‑market execution through distributors and/or retailers.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales and cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
