Margo is seeking a Rapid Application Developer to integrate its teams within a leading worldwide corporate and investment bank.
The Role:
This is a tactical application development role where the focus is on rapid delivery and immediate business impact directly on the trading desk. You will be part of an elite team where technical agility and a proactive approach are the keys to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapid Development: Use rapid application development techniques for quick turn-around of high-profile projects sitting directly on the trading floor.
- Trading Frameworks: Build and enhance trading framework software and algorithmic tools through close interaction with traders and quants.
- Trader-Facing Interaction: Work in a heavily trader-facing capacity to translate business needs into technical solutions quickly.
- Front Office Support: Provide L2/L3 support for the platform and algorithmic tools to ensure seamless trading operation.
- Performance Tracking: Report and track performance indicators for front-office traders, covering electronic and algorithmic trading, back-testing, and data management systems.
- Data Management: Monitor fetching processes and data health while contributing to the design and implementation of data stores and APIs.
Skills Required:
- Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript, which serve as the primary technical stack for this role.
- Systems: Comfort working within a Windows infrastructure.
- Scripting: Ability to write scripts in Python or other languages for additional automation is highly welcome.
- Academic Foundation: Experience with school or university projects in Java.
- Emerging Tech: While not mandatory, exposure to languages like Rust or Go is a potential advantage for future projects.
