As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role within our cross‑functional delivery squads, championing quality across the full software lifecycle. You’ll help shape testing strategies, drive innovation, and support others in embedding quality into everything we build. The day to day:

  • You’ll take ownership of quality engineering within your squad(s), working closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Engineers to ensure our platforms are scalable, reliable, and built with quality at their core.
  • You’ll define and execute testing strategies, introduce modern tools and practices, and promote a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead execution of comprehensive test strategies across your squad(s).
  • Introduce and champion modern testing tools, frameworks, and practices.
  • Define and monitor key quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and mean time to recovery.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Tech Leads to align quality goals with business objectives.
  • Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Lead exploratory, automation, performance, and security testing initiatives.
  • Promote agile and lean principles to enhance delivery and adaptability.
  • Provide clear and transparent communication on quality status and improvement plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data insights and actionable changes.
  • Support cross‑functional testing including accessibility, usability, and availability.
  • Ensure strong CI/CD practices and evolve testing approaches across architectural environments.
  • Establish dashboards and reporting to visualize quality trends and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in quality assurance, including software development.
  • Experience of QA leadership experience within agile environments.
  • Experience working within cross‑functional delivery teams, ideally using Extreme Programming practices.
  • Strong understanding of evolutionary architecture and fitness functions.
  • Experience with AI tooling and its application to improve speed and quality in delivery is advantageous.
  • Cloud certification is beneficial.
