Apollo is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join their London product team focusing on Direct Lending. The role focuses on Apollo's global direct lending funds and platform, coordinating new product launches, supporting product line growth, managing active fundraise processes, keeping the sales team informed of initiatives, and presenting marketing opportunities externally.
Responsibilities
- Assist in launching new products globally including strategic planning, marketing material development and supporting fundraising efforts.
- Facilitate the creation of marketing materials and presentations.
- Collaborate with global Sales team and Client & Product Solutions members to raise capital from existing and new investors.
- Manage build‐out of fund materials on internal platforms such as Data Room.
- Maintain investment and performance data as well as investor pipeline details.
- Analyze large data sets to create new content and draft investor responses.
- Execute client requests to support eventual closing of allocations, and manage ongoing client needs, including due diligence requests and RfP submissions.
- Assist in creating and maintaining client servicing/reporting materials for existing investors.
- Work closely with investment, finance, compliance and legal teams to develop understanding of portfolios, fund structures, and investor objectives.
- Build relationships through follow‐up, understanding investors' approval processes and how allocations fit within their portfolios.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an alternative asset management firm, investment bank, private bank, or investment consulting firm (Associate level: minimum 3.5 years).
- Experience in portfolio management, business development or product role.
- Experience in leveraged finance/direct lending.
- Understanding of the alternative asset management marketplace, products and competitors.
- Strong ability to multi‐task and pivot between internal and external responsibilities.
- Strong analytical skills to develop product expertise and engage in detailed investment discussions.
- Outstanding written and oral presentation skills.
