Position Summary
We are seeking a Communications Generalist at Manager level to join our global Communications team in London. This is a broad, execution focused role spanning media relations, content development and project management. As Brookfield has continued to expand its owned and paid communications capabilities globally – including the launch of the firm’s first corporate brand campaign – this role will support the continued evolution of how we communicate with key stakeholders across channels and markets. As the primary content-focused communications role in London, this individual will help build and strengthen regional capability while bringing best practices and alignment from Brookfield’s global communications team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative and comfortable operating in fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Content & Project Management (~70%)
- Draft and edit high-quality content across formats, including transaction announcements, executive communications, opinion pieces, internal memos, social media and digital content.
- Support the development of owned content across channels (website, intranet, social, video, newsletters).
- Identify opportunities to promote Brookfield’s brand, investments and thought leadership.
- Ensure all content aligns with Brookfield’s tone of voice, brand standards and strategic priorities.
- Provide writing and editorial support to senior stakeholders and business teams.
- Content Coordination & Project Management
- Plan and execute communications and content initiatives across Europe.
- Manage timelines, approvals and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional workflows involving internal teams and external partners/agencies.
- Help establish and evolve content development processes and best practices across the European Communications function, in alignment with global standards.
- Support development of multimedia content (including video), working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment and consistency across global communications efforts.
- Media Relations (~30%)
- Support proactive and reactive media engagement across the European business.
- Respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner, coordinating with internal stakeholders including Investor Relations, Legal and business teams.
- Draft and manage press materials including press releases, Q&As, briefing documents, talking points and media strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and media outlets.
- Support issues and reputation management, including monitoring, escalation and response coordination.
- Prepare senior executives for media engagements, including briefings and training sessions.
- Track and analyze media coverage to inform future communications strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-7 years professional experience in communications, marketing or journalism – in agency or in-house.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Experience supporting content across digital and social channels.
- Organized and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
