We’re looking for a Finance Manager, Growth to join us in London, United Kingdom. Liberty Growth, our global investment arm, has a portfolio of more than 75 companies and funds across content, live sports, entertainment, technology, finance and infrastructure/energy, including strategic stakes in platform assets including Formula E, Atlas Edge, Liberty Energy and Blume.

JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Manager in Growth will be a key member of the team supporting the director and CFO of Growth in overseeing the financial management of Liberty Global’s diverse Growth Portfolio. This portfolio, valued at approximately $3.5B, includes dynamic companies across Technology, Infrastructure/Energy, Services, and Media/Sports/Live Events. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving financial analysis, reporting, and valuation, and will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of emerging ‘Unicorns’ within the portfolio. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to value creation and strategic financial management in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Own the heartbeat of the Growth portfolio—tracking investments, exits, and performance with precision and commercial insight.
  • Take the lead on valuations, crafting monthly fair market views that shape strategic decisions; partner with high-growth businesses to build long-range plans and support funding strategies.
  • Dive deep into Infrastructure & Energy assets, benchmarking performance and extracting meaningful insights.
  • Act as a connector across Finance and beyond—collaborating with Tax, Legal, Treasury, M&A, and operating companies to bring ideas to life.
  • Evaluate new and existing investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with financial principles and long-term value creation.
  • Drive best‑in‑class financial practices and performance monitoring across the portfolio; create and deliver high‑impact materials for senior leadership—turning complex data into clear, compelling stories.
  • Play a key role in external valuations portfolio, including leading coordination with our third‑party valuator.
  • Own monthly valuation reporting and contribute to incentive and rewards frameworks.
  • Support Investor Relations with sharp, insight‑driven quarterly materials.
  • Keep a constant pulse on portfolio activity—tracking capital flows, exits, and strategic shifts; contribute to the financial strategy of select high‑growth assets, influencing direction and outcomes.
  • Help design and refine management fee structures across Growth and its portfolio companies.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proven experience working with financial budgets, actuals, business cases, modelling and project coordination.
  • Financial modelling: able to create and maintain financial models to support various business initiatives and investment strategies.
  • Coordination: able to work across numerous departments and disciplines to achieve a common goal.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail, whilst maintaining big‑picture perspective.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive, self‑starting, pragmatic and reliable.
  • Flexible outlook, adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable managing workload and deadline pressures.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Multi‑asset class experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working in an international context is desirable.
  • Valuation experience would be preferable.
  • Financial expertise in fundraising.
  • M&A experience in structuring/divestments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders across an international footprint.
  • Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills, clearly and concisely convey ideas to management to drive timely decisions.
