We’re currently expanding our Escalator Installation and Modernisation team and have an exciting opportunity for an Escalator Engineer to join us. This role is based in Keighley, with projects taking place nationwide.

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for safe, high-quality, and timely installation of equipment following KONE installation methods.
  • Reports installation progress to the installation supervisor.
  • Responsible for receiving, checking and storage of materials.
  • Keeps installation tooling safe and in good condition, ensures security of delivered equipment, and provides a safe working environment.
  • Submits reports of timekeeping, quality feedback forms and warranty claims for materials.
  • Contributes to ongoing improvement of the product by providing feedback to the supply line.
  • Manages on-site communication with the customer for day-to-day installation and logistical activities.
  • Communicates with the builder to prevent interruptions to installation work.
  • May be required by the supervisor to give training/coaching to trainees and helpers.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • A clean UK driving licence (a KONE van will be provided).
