The Data and Applications team builds analytics, AI-powered tools and data infrastructure that connect data, technology and decision-making across the firm. Team members combine finance and business expertise with technical skills in application development, data engineering and data analytics to deliver technology solutions across corporate functions and client advisory.

PJT Partners is seeking a highly motivated Data Analytics Developer in our London office as part of the global Data and Applications team. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with hands-on experience across the Azure data stack—including Power BI, Power Automate, and Azure Data Factory—along with strong SQL proficiency. This role spans data engineering, reporting, and workflow automation, working cross-functionally with client-facing and corporate teams to design, implement, and support business-critical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, translating business requirements into clear, actionable visualizations for stakeholders across the firm.
  • Develop and maintain automated business workflows using low-code tools using Microsoft Power Platform and ServiceNow App Builder to streamline operational processes, approvals, and notifications across departments.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and ad-hoc analysis against Snowflake and other relational databases.
  • Partner with corporate and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting and analytics solutions. Additionally, support Technology leadership by developing management reporting in Power BI, enhancing operational visibility and enabling data-driven decision-making across the Technology organization.
  • Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow Reporting Analytics, Workday custom reports and Dashboards. Support Workday/ServiceNow integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, – as applicable) for reporting and downstream systems.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on key data elements consumed by downstream and upstream applications, ensuring data lineage and accuracy across systems.
  • Perform data quality checks, testing, and validation to maintain the integrity of enterprise data assets.
  • Provide go-live support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for data and reporting issues.
  • Ensure adherence to and contribute to the development of best practices supporting data management standards and governance.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and data models in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, and data gateway configuration).
  • Experience with Power Automate for building automated workflows, including integration with Microsoft 365 and third-party services.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and perform data modeling (Preferably Snowflake).
  • Ability to quickly understand and formulate application-level requirements pertaining to complex workflows or integration with external systems.
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation, scripting, or automation tasks.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, particularly around Service Catalog design, ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Problem Management), and Service Portal development.
  • Exposure to broader Azure services (Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
  • Experience working in financial services or professional services environments.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using ServiceNow, Workday, and business intelligence tools.
