The role involves delivering insights across the commercial ecosystem, building and managing a marketing and sales performance dashboard, and analysing customer journeys to support marketing, sales, e‑commerce and CX teams.

About the Role

As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering insight that drives improvements across marketing, retail, e‑commerce and customer experience. Your key focus will be the design, build and ongoing management of a marketing and sales performance dashboard in Looker Studio, underpinned by Google BigQuery, and the analysis of customer journeys, competitor benchmarks, and content performance.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design, build and maintain a marketing and sales performance dashboard in Looker Studio powered by BigQuery, combining sell‑out sales data, market volume and share data, and campaign activity logs.
  • Define the underlying data model, transform source files and design the reporting layer to support consistent, scalable KPI delivery.
  • Identify and quantify the impact of retailer investment, including uplift in sales and market share during campaign periods.
  • Analyse correlations between campaign activity and commercial performance to determine which marketing levers are most effective.
  • Measure and report on halo effects across products and retailers resulting from promotional and campaign activity.
  • Define and calculate key performance metrics such as uplift, baseline, market share, activity intensity and halo effects.
  • Work with GFK or other syndicated market data sources to enrich performance analysis with market volume and share context.

Customer Experience & Digital Analytics

  • Conduct analysis of the current customer experience, including user behaviour, content and campaign performance and conversion pathways.
  • Benchmark key customer journeys against competitor websites to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Provide regular insight into paid promotions, post‑purchase experience and customer satisfaction trends.
  • Support planning, optimisation and operational management of post‑purchase and onboarding experience.
  • Analyse content utilisation, engagement and drop‑off points, and recommend enhancements.
  • Collaborate with HQ and local teams on onboarding content production and implementation.
  • Support feature management including evaluation, testing performance and monitoring adoption, with ongoing analysis of content effectiveness and customer experience updates.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports and ad‑hoc analyses across customer experience, onboarding, e‑commerce, retail performance and promotion activity.
  • Translate data into clear insights that guide decision‑making within marketing, CX, digital and commercial teams.
  • Present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring insight is embedded in planning and operational processes.
  • Use platforms like GWI to build digital personas and audience profiles that support broader marketing planning.

What You Need to Be Great in This Role

  • Proven experience as a data or insight analyst within digital, e‑commerce, retail, marketing or agency environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Google BigQuery and advanced SQL, including data modelling and reporting layer design.
  • Hands‑on experience building dashboards in Looker Studio, with a clear understanding of how to structure underlying data models for robust, scalable dashboard performance.
  • Demonstrable experience combining sell‑out sales, market share and campaign activity datasets to generate commercial insight.
  • Ability to define and calculate metrics including uplift, baseline, market share, activity intensity and halo effects.
  • Strong marketing analytics capability, including campaign effectiveness measurement across paid and promotional channels.
  • Good understanding of digital customer journeys, content performance metrics and e‑commerce KPIs.
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics GA4, Adobe Analytics or similar.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling ability – capable of translating complex business questions into dashboard logic and presenting findings clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience working with multi‑market teams and managing stakeholder expectations across business functions.
  • A passion for data‑driven decision‑making and an interest in how AI can enhance analytics workflows.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Python (pandas) for data transformation, automation and workflow scripting.
  • Broader experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including automating data ingestion and transformation workflows.
  • Experience working in retail, e‑commerce or retailer media environments.
  • Familiarity with GfK or other syndicated market data sources.
  • Experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
