Our Data & AI team is made up of curious, client‑focused professionals who help organisations turn data into insight, decisions, and action. We’re looking for a Data Analyst who combines strong business analysis capability with data product management skills to shape, define, and deliver high‑value use cases across analytics, AI, and modern data platforms.
If you’re passionate about understanding how businesses work, translating that into well‑defined data and AI use cases, and working closely with both business and technology stakeholders, we’d love to talk. Together we do what matters. Come join us.
As a member of Avanade’s Data & AI practice, you’ll work at the intersection of business and technology, helping clients unlock value from their data across AI, Agentic AI, data platforms, reporting, and analytics. You’ll play a critical role in shaping data‑driven products and solutions, ensuring they are well‑defined, client‑centric, and deliver measurable outcomes. This role is ideal for analytically minded professionals who are curious, collaborative, and motivated by driving meaningful change through data.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with clients to understand business problems, opportunities, and priorities, translating them into clear data, analytics, and AI use cases.
- Combine business analysis and data product thinking to define scope, success measures, roadmaps, and requirements for data‑driven solutions.
- Analyse source systems, APIs, and data feeds, assessing data quality, structure, and suitability for analytics and AI use cases.
- Design and document analytics‑focused data models, including dimensional models and star schemas.
- Produce source‑to‑target mappings, business rules, and transformation logic to support data engineering and analytics delivery.
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and AI specialists to ensure requirements are well understood and effectively delivered.
- Engage confidently with both business and technology stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and translator between worlds.
- Support the evolution of data products over time, incorporating feedback, learning, and changing business needs.
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Analytics Consultant within data, analytics, or AI programmes.
- Strong background in business analysis, including requirements definition, stakeholder engagement, and use‑case development.
- Experience analysing source systems, APIs, and data integrations, with an understanding of how operational data is used for analytics.
- Solid knowledge of data modelling for analytics, particularly dimensional modelling and star schemas.
- Hands‑on experience producing source‑to‑target mappings and working with data engineers to support implementation.
- Understanding of modern data platforms and analytics architectures, ideally within Microsoft or cloud‑based ecosystems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with technologies such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric is advantageous.
About you:
- Naturally curious and analytical, with a strong desire to understand why things work the way they do.
- Passionate about driving change through data, analytics, and AI, not just producing outputs.
- Client‑centric, with a clear focus on outcomes, value, and measurable impact.
- Comfortable working across ambiguity, evolving requirements, and complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Confident engaging with senior business stakeholders and technology teams alike.
- Pragmatic, collaborative, and able to balance rigour with pace.
- Keen to continuously learn, develop, and stay current with emerging data and AI trends.
Enjoy your career:
- Opportunity to work for Microsoft’s Global Alliance Partner of the Year (20 times).
- A minimum of 80 hours per year dedicated to learning, certifications, and professional development.
- Access to global Data & AI communities, accelerators, and subject‑matter experts.
- The chance to work on cutting‑edge initiatives across AI, Agentic AI, analytics, and modern data platforms.
- Clear and supported career progression across Consultant and Senior Consultant levels.
