We’re looking for an experienced Business Solution Consultant to join our AMP (Authorisation Management Performance) team within Optimisation – Payment Performance, to help us unleash the potential of every business.

What you’ll own as the Business Solution Consultant:

  • Be a key member of a global team helping Worldpay drive best‑in‑class authorisation acceptance and payment optimisation.
  • Lead the implementation of authentication, authorisation and payment routing improvement strategies across merchant, product, platform, issuer and scheme/networks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients/stakeholders to drive solution adoption and enhance client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Focus: Translate insights through data‑driven storytelling into actionable items to improve authorisation, authentication and routing approval rates.
  • Conduct high‑level review of data requirements, analysis and visualisation to support stakeholders with performance monitoring and generate insights across issuers, schemes, platforms and merchant configurations.
  • Data‑Driven Insights & Storytelling: Translate complex data into compelling, actionable insights; monitor performance against benchmarks; identify trends to drive optimisation strategies.
  • Optimisation & Performance Improvement: Drive improvements in authorisation, authentication and routing efficiency; convert findings into scalable solutions delivering measurable uplifts; resolve recurring issues systemically.
  • Intake, Prioritisation & Delivery: Support intake of new optimisation opportunities; allocate and coordinate work within the team; manage and track a pipeline of initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Product, Technology, Data, Schemes and Issuers; act as a bridge between data insights and commercial outcomes; communicate effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience within Payments.
  • Broad knowledge of Worldpay products and related services; in‑depth knowledge of products and services for which the team provides support.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualisation skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, SQL) and IT technologies (operating systems, network devices, software development, architecture).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non‑technical audiences at various levels.
  • Curiosity and strong communication, problem‑solving, time‑management and project‑management skills.
  • Willingness to share relevant technical and industry knowledge with peers.
  • Deep understanding of the payments industry and authorisation pathways (gateways, platforms, acquirers, networks, issuers).
  • Experience with authorisation investigation & resolution; strong analytical skills to engage in complex matters.

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Strong existing connections within the Worldpay business (Product, Commercial or Operational) and ability to drive cross‑business collaboration.
  • Knowledge and experience with differing platforms (WPG, VAP, NAP) and merchant profiles.
