Avanade seeks Business Development Managers who are deal hunters, deal makers, originators and self-starters able to develop and win new business in a complex consulting environment with sophisticated technology solutions.
The role is accountable for originating, solutioning, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals for Avanade products, capabilities, services, and solutions.
It focuses on activating sales strategy in chosen accounts or territories to grow the market, coordinating with the right teams, achieving sales and revenue impact, and providing the necessary support to embed new value delivery for clients in a complex landscape.
The role operates within a region and aligns to an Industry Group, working closely with other Business Development professionals and various internal and partner teams.

Within this role you will be selling digital transformation services (e. g., Microsoft Dynamics or Azure Cloud implementation/integration) to clients within the industry and should have experience selling these services in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Business Growth
- Create a business development plan to assess, qualify, develop, and shape key opportunities in client accounts, territories and sectors, ensuring continued financial health and value creation for clients and Avanade
- Collaborate with partners and alliances (Microsoft, Accenture, and ecosystem partners) to grow the book of business
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations to support business development objectives
- Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential client accounts to identify and build relationships
- Manage key client relationships in chosen accounts, collaborating with Avanade Client Account Leads as appropriate to drive growth
- Understand client buying processes and stakeholder decision chains
- Engage with clients to clarify needs and translate them into potential Avanade solution opportunities
- Lead or support cross-functional internal teams to configure bespoke solutions meeting client mid- to long-term needs
- Negotiate client agreements to ensure client requirements are met through a compelling and differentiated value proposition
- Collaborate across internal stakeholders and act as the client champion in cross-functional teams
- Act as a player-coach, delivering outcomes as an individual contributor

- Develop a personal network of senior executives within the business sector and represent the organization at major business sector events
