MUFG, a globally respected financial institution, is seeking a Trade Finance Middle Office Analyst for the EMEA Operations team in London. This role allows you to gain hands‑on experience across operational activities, from exposure monitoring to facility set‑up and client communications.
What you’ll do:
- Review term sheets, credit applications, and facility documentation from an operational perspective under guidance to ensure all transactions are workable and compliant with internal standards.
- Assist with the maintenance, creation, and set‑up of facilities while performing necessary administrative duties related to transaction management systems such as TRAC.
- Support the review of client drawdown requests by ensuring all transactions align with approved facility terms and elevate any discrepancies as needed.
- Examine Guarantee and Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) wordings for workability and participate in negotiations with clients and legal teams when required.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for ETBO products related to non‑commodity business while assisting CSTF for commodity‑related matters as necessary.
- Engage in daily communication with clients, relationship managers, product managers, and operational units to facilitate smooth transaction processing and issue resolution.
- Monitor inward communications effectively by prioritising tasks according to subject importance with a strong emphasis on client centricity.
- Develop familiarity with individual client processes and business flows to eventually take ownership of specific client relationships within the team.
