We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare. You’ll be working full time 42 hours a week, 12‑hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two‑week rolling rota), days only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Norcott Lodge.
Located in the suburbs of Liversedge in West Yorkshire, Norcott Lodge is a specialist residential service providing outcome‑focused care for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge. Person‑centred planning is at the heart of everything we do and we are able to meet the changing needs of the people we support as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported.

Responsibilities- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
- Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
- Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
- Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs

- Support service users to access the community and to attend things like work, college, hobbies and activities, days out and holidays
- Support the service users to grow, develop and learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking and cleaning

- Sensitive and intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating and varied environment
- Able to empower and support service user independence
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Salary: £13.15 per hour, rising to £13.45 per hour after three months (£29,435.70 first year), rising to £13.70 per hour after 18 months
