We are delighted to announce that we are looking for several Maintenance Engineering Apprentices to train and develop as Site Maintenance Technicians. As part of this, you will be undertaking a structured training program of academic study, along with on‑the‑job training, in order to gain the required skills and knowledge to support the Dematic business. - To maintain records and log book over the duration of the apprenticeship period, recording projects that have been undertaken and the skills learned and submitting and reporting requirements within the required timescale.
Activities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance in line with manufacturers' requirements.
- Provide first‑line support to our customers in fault rectification of these systems.
- Identify faults, establish root causes and suggest improvements to engineer out the issue.
- Communicate back to the main business for upgrades and project opportunities.
- Facilitate the sharing of knowledge and improvements, both within the site team and to the wider business.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including but not limited to Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual.
- Work across multiple sites as requested.
Requirements
- All applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/5 or above) including the core subjects of Maths, Science, and English.
